Length was reduced from 44 mm to 38 mm (1.5") to compensate for the elongation that occurs when the product is inserted into a bottle. Can be removed with a conventional corkscrew.

A new version of Lermer Packaging's (Garwood, NJ) Cellukork® is 35% easier to extract than the original version, says the company. The diameter was reduced from 22.3 mm to 21.5 mm (0.85") while resilience was increased by 10%.
