Enercon announces its new technology eliminates faulty seals caused by improper gap set up. To achieve a consistent seal, packagers need to set up their induction cap sealers at a specified gap and power level for each of their applications. Even a few millimeters difference in the gap between the liner and the sealing head can produce different results.

If the gap is too small overheating of the liner may occur. If the gap is too large under heating may prevent a seal from being achieved. Enercon’s new Adaptive Sealing™ GAP System overcomes improper operator set up to ensure successful sealing.

“Packagers are looking for equipment to be less operator dependent. With high employee turnover rates and inexperienced line operators this new system adds another level of quality control to a packager’s operations,” says Enercon Cap Sealing Sales Director Jessica Toellner.

The Adaptive Sealing™ GAP system is available as an option with Enercon’s Super Seal™ Pro and Super Seal™ Max induction cap sealers which create hermetic seals on capped containers to provide tamper evidence, prevent leaks and preserve freshness. These sealers feature touch screen interfaces which also provide operators with onboard troubleshooting and setup assistance.

Induction sealing is widely used by pharmaceutical, food, beverage, chemical, petroleum, personal care, cosmetic and nutraceutical companies to ensure product integrity and to add value to their products.

Enercon Industries Corporation, headquartered in Germantown, WI, is a major manufacturer of equipment for the plastics, converting and packaging industries. The company supplies custom built corona and atmospheric plasma treating systems, as well as induction cap sealing systems.
