Coca-Cola's peel-back labels reveal collectible soccer stickers

The Coca-Cola Company, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, and Panini America, based in Irving, Texas, United States, have introduced a packaging promotion for the FIFA World Cup 2026 that integrates collectable soccer stickers directly into beverage bottle labels. Selected 20-oz (591 ml) bottles of Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar feature peel-back labels that conceal randomly inserted Panini stickers, creating an interactive packaging format that combines product identification, promotional content and collectability within a single label structure. The campaign includes 12 special-edition stickers featuring soccer players representing 10 nations participating in the tournament. Consumers access the collectable item by lifting a section of the bottle label, transforming the packaging into a mechanism for engagement rather than solely a branding and information carrier. The stickers can be physically placed into a dedicated section of the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Sticker Album or scanned using a smartphone to populate a digital collection within the Panini Digital App, linking the physical packaging experience with a digital platform. The initiative features 151 individual Poké Ball-inspired foil designs, alongside 10 additional foil variants themed around Team Rocket characters from the Pokémon franchise. The initiative features 151 individual Poké Ball-inspired foil designs, alongside 10 additional foil variants themed around Team Rocket characters from the Pokémon franchise.ThePackHub

The Hershey Company uses collectible foil packaging to bring digital engagement to confectionery

The Hershey Company, based in Hershey, Pennsylvania, United States, has partnered with The Pokémon Company International to launch a packaging collection centered on collectible foil wrappers for Hershey’s Kisses chocolates. The initiative features 151 individual Poké Ball-inspired foil designs, alongside 10 additional foil variants themed around Team Rocket characters from the Pokémon franchise. Rather than altering the chocolate itself, the innovation focuses on packaging as a tool for consumer engagement, combining collectability, storytelling and digital interaction. Each pack incorporates a QR code that directs consumers to a digital collection hub, where they can track which foil designs they have collected, follow an ongoing narrative involving Team Rocket attempting to obtain the complete set, and access promotional activities. The chocolates are available in 9 oz (255 g) share packs and 28 oz (794 g) party bags through participating retailers across the United States. The project demonstrates how packaging graphics, variable printing and connected packaging technologies can be integrated to create a multi-channel consumer experience extending beyond the point of purchase. The format combines malleable PET with a precision nozzle to minimize dripping. The format combines malleable PET with a precision nozzle to minimize dripping.ThePackHub

Casa Gallo's squeezable olive oil bottle adds precision dosing system

Casa Gallo, based in Portugal and operating extensively in Brazil, has introduced a squeezable PET olive oil bottle featuring an integrated dosing spout designed to improve pouring control and reduce product waste during use. The new packaging format adapts a flexible squeeze-bottle structure commonly used in sauce packaging for the olive oil category, combining malleable PET with a precision nozzle intended to provide cleaner dispensing and minimize dripping after pouring. The dosing system automatically cuts the product flow to reduce oil residue around the opening and exterior of the bottle. The format is designed to support controlled application during cooking, finishing and food preparation, reflecting wider consumer demand for convenience-oriented edible oil packaging. Casa Gallo states that the launch represents the first large-scale introduction of this type of squeezable olive oil packaging within the category.
