(Brewster, NY), incorporates a radial load cell that makes it resilient to vibration, overloads, shockloads and electrical interference in monitoring light to moderate web tensions in continuous-web operations.

This system is designed for web processing machinery used to produce, process or print on paper, plastic, metal, foils and other industrial materials. Operates in conjunction with AC, DC and servo drives; magnetic-particle and eddy-current drives; and pneumatic brakes and clutches. Four sizes of load cells are available with nominal tensions ranging from 0 to 110 lbs (0.5 kN) and up to 1100 lb (5 kN). Units tolerate at least 500% overload both axially and radially, without calibration changes, according to the company.
