Wet wipe and sachet manufacturer Guardpack appointed James Tucker as General Manager. Responsible for spearheading market expansion, leading new R&D initiatives and overseeing General Management, Tucker will be leveraging his expertise to continue Guardpack’s growth.
The new appointment is part of Guardpack’s dedication to help brands improve their corporate social responsibility. The specialist manufacturer is at the forefront of bringing sustainable alternatives to companies, allowing them to get ahead of competitors, particularly when it comes to the proposed upcoming single use wet wipe ban that may come into effect later this year, following the government consultation.
Tucker has a strong background in microbiology and molecular biology. He holds an MSc in Bioinformatics and has contributed to zoonotic disease research for the U.K. government and as a test consultant for the WHO. Furthermore, he has a strong commercial and technical background in cleaning and disinfection for the global life sciences sector. He will be bringing his years of experience working for companies such as Ecolab and more recently Redditch Medical, to broaden Guardpack’s market remit and contribute to the ongoing research and development within the wipe and sachet industry. This will begin with the exploration of cleanrooms for critical industries and the possibility of this expansion for the specialist manufacturer.
Guardpack Managing Director, Jeremy Freedman says, “We are delighted to have James join the Guardpack team. His wealth of experience will hugely benefit Guardpack, with his invaluable knowledge helping us navigate new areas of expansion within the market. We’re looking forward to establishing this partnership and continuing our growth as a leading manufacturer”.
Tucker says, "I am excited to be building upon Guardpack's already excellent track record of quality and service, expanding the business into new markets and look forward to learning more about the industries and customers at Guardpack."
