TAWI, a brand by Piab Group, the inventor of the vacuum lift (also known as a vacuum tube lifter) has launched the new FlexiGrip suction foot. This new product reduces the manual aspect of awkward lifting, designed to support high-speed box handling. Lifting multiple packages or working with uneven surfaces the FlexiGrip makes moving materials safe and stable, minimizing the opportunity for injury. This is a faster, safer, more economic, and simple material handling solution.

TAWI’s FlexiGrip suction foot is paired with the TAWI High-Frequency Vacuum Lifter. Capable of lifting materials weighing up to 145 lbs (65 kg) at speeds of 3ft/s. Comprised of 40 integrated suction cups with automatic piSave sense valves on a lightweight plate. This ergonomic design makes material handling in fast paced environments easily attainable while supporting all of the weight of the product. The user-friendly design of TAWI vacuum lifters and the retrofitted FlexiGrip extension, operators can lift and move product without exerting any lifting force, at a safer, more productive rate than when performed manually.

“Many businesses experience lifting challenges, and weight is not the only concern. Oftentimes product is awkward to hold or needs to be brought to a raised or lowered position. The employee needs extra support to safely handle the product,” states Nick Hajewski, Global Marketing Director for TAWI. “A vacuum lifter reduces the issue of placing the weight of a product on an employee. That’s the secret—the less labor required, the less physical fatigue is experienced, and at the end of the day, everyone is safer because they are not physically lifting the materials themselves.”
