Spiral conveyor

New high capacity spiral conveyors from Ryson respond to customer needs for taller units and units that can handle heavier loads.

Requiring only 1 drive motor, these spirals can start and stop fully loaded, while also handling double the total weight compared to the company’s regular spirals. Load capacity is 75 lb/linear ft of conveyor at speeds to 200 ft/min. The angle of incline is between 9 deg and 11 deg, which safeguards against loads sliding or tumbling during operation. Spiral units require less floor space than conventional conveyors and are said to be faster and more reliable than elevators or lifts. Most spirals are shipped in 1-piece, preassembled and pretested to reduce time and cost of installation.
