ProMach Pharma will be exhibiting a new turnkey packaging line, which includes all equipment from vial and syringe filling to case packing, at PACK EXPO International Booth W-17002 in the Healthcare Packaging Pavilion.
ProMach Pharma’s turnkey blister packaging line for aseptic kits begins with a Dara NFL/2 aseptic filling and closing machine, which can handle nests of ready-to-use syringes, vials, and cartridges. The line’s NJM Courser 230 pressure-sensitive labeler, which features a trunnion starwheel for positive handling of small containers at speeds up to 250 cpm, labels the syringes, while a WLS VR-72 labeler labels the vials. A PharmaMed robotic pick-and-place unit feeds one syringe and one vial per cycle to a Pharmaworks TF2 blister machine.
The blister-packed kits are then conveyed on a Beckhoff linear transport to a Serpa P100 horizontal cartoner, with a fall-through construction that meets all sanitary and FDA validation requirements. This is followed by a Serpa P200 side load case packer that can pick, erect, and pack cases and trays at speeds up to 20 cases per min. Labels for syringes and vials are printed off-line with a WLS Autonomy standalone, digital label printer with an integrated full-label inspection capability.
