Manufactured from PEFC-certified wood pulp from sustainably managed forests, Nobelus’ EcoElement CLS film offers an eco-friendlier alternative to standard coatings which are largely derived from petrochemicals. Tom Snooks, Product Manager for Nobelus states, “Each production run of EcoElement CLS is comprised of refined wood pulp along with 20-25% reground material. We are able to maintain a zero-waste manufacturing model and offer a bio-based film that is void of plastics.”

Snooks adds, “EcoElement CLS maintains high color clarity and is an excellent choice for prime label and flexible packaging providers who want to offer their customers a sustainably sourced option.” When paired with solventless or electron beam adhesives this film offers significant value to the flexible packaging market. The unique film is also UV and screen printable and supports post-laminate embellishments.

EcoElement CLS film passed rigorous testing criteria and is certified industrial compostable per ASTM D6400/D6868 and holds an OK Home Compost certification from TUV Austria.
