Pack Expo 2004: Protag neck tag applicator

PACK EXPO WEB EXCLUSIVE: RayPress showed its Protag neck tag applicator at its booth at Pack Expo International 2004 in Chicago this week. Machine takes neck tag material from two rolls and automatically applies the tags onto bottle necks at speeds of 400 tags/min. Until now, neck tags have only been applied by hand, resulting in higher labor costs and less efficient line speeds. Machine can be integrated into existing packaging lines or installed as a modular unit on an as-needed basis.
