He will succeed Marcel Meyer, current CEO and President, who is going to focus on his responsibilities as Chairman of the Board of Directors and strategic tasks. Meier will be assuming the operative management of the worldwide operating Group.
Marcel Meyer assumed the management of Robatech AG in 1992 from his father Hans Meyer, who founded the company. He managed the company with competence and foresight and expanded it into a successful company with more than 70 representations worldwide. Despite the strong growth, Marcel Meyer was successful in maintaining a family-like atmosphere in the company. For Marcel Meyer, handing over the operative management now is the logical and consistent step for the future of the company.
Marcel Meyer will remain in the company in a consulting role and will continue to shape the Robatech Group in strategic decisions and innovative product developments. “After managing Robatech for 26 years, I am looking forward to stepping out of the day-to-day operations of the company,” explains Marcel Meyer. “Now I can devote my full attention to strategic tasks.” Meyer then continues that he has full confidence in Martin Meier, who is appointed new CEO after being a member of the executive management team for many years.
Martin Meier joined the company in 1997. Four years later, he was appointed CFO and managed the Finance and Administration department. Between 2004 and 2012, he was also responsible for the factory in Switzerland. In his function, he was in close contact with all departments at the company’s headquarters as well as the international representations. He is well familiar with all processes and persons responsible. These are ideal conditions for a seamless transfer of company management and outstanding qualities for a successful continuation of the company. “I am looking forward to the challenge of managing the next growth steps of Robatech together with the management team,” emphasizes Martin Meier. “We will continue our focus on our customers and employees worldwide.”
