Supplier news: Achievements

Rob Libera, vp and dir., packaging and process technology at SmithKline Beecham, was honored during a surprise ceremony in Tylney Hall, Hampshire, U.K.

in July. Libera flew in from the U.S. to attend a SmithKline Beecham meeting but received more than he expected when he was presented the Fellowship of The Institute of Packaging award by its chief executive, Gerry Berragan. "It is always an ambition of oneself to somewhere, at sometime, somehow make a difference in life and be recognized by your peers and your profession," Libera said. "This appointment, by arguably the most prestigious institute of packaging professionals in the world, has honored me and humbled me and given me an opportunity to reach that ambition."
