GAA awards open to all

The Gravure Association of America is opening its Annual Golden Cylinder Award Competition to include member and nonmember entries. All entries are due February 15, 2002; they must have been produced during the 2001 calendar year and must have used the gravure process.

The competition is designed to identify the "Best of the Best" in each segment of the industry and to distinguish technical innovations in the gravure process.

All completed entries must be submitted to GAA headquarters at 1200-A Scottsville Road, Rochester, NY 14624 by 5 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2002. Entries must be production units against an order, except for the supplier innovation category. Entries in the supplier innovation category must include complete description and supporting evidence of the technical innovation, including a factual statement of support from one or more customers or users.

Judging will take place on February 28, 2002. Winners will be announced at the 2002 Gravure Association of America Annual Awards dinner during the Annual Convention on May 21 in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

If you have any questions concerning the competition, please contact Linda Zornow at 716/436-2150 or e-mail at [email protected].
