The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is advising consumers that many label and ad claims that garlic supplements lower cholesterol are false and misleading.

CSPI cited additional evidence based on research in both Germany and England undercutting the cholesterol-lowering claims for garlic. CSPI listed a number of garlic supplements that make label claims about cholesterol.
