of Container Distributors (Philadelphia, PA). The winning package was Pampers Clean ‘n Play, a cleaning/disinfecting spray bottle marketed by Changing Paradigms, LLC, West Chester, OH, under a license from Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati (see https://www.packworld.com/go/c035).
What particularly impressed the judges was the number of components that were supplied by the distributor. Not only was TricorBraun involved in bottle design with Procter & Gamble, but the distributor also provided the European-style spray dispenser and the in-mold label.
The 500-mL (16.9 oz) bottle itself is blow-molded of high-density polyethylene by Owens-Brockway (Toledo, OH) with a specialty finish to accommodate the 0.5-mL fine-mist sprayer. The Italian-designed sprayer persuaded P&G to work with the distributor on the project, the first use of what TricorBraun calls the Tricos dispenser in the United States.
With a suggested retail price of $3.99, Pampers Clean ‘n Play is sold in most outlets that carry other Pampers-brand baby products. —AO
