High-visibility packages popular at Dairy-Deli-Bake show

Both retailers and consumers like them for their convenience and their ability to display food well through the package.

High-visibility packaging enables shoppers to see the contents right through the package, and it is greatly sought-after among both retailers and consumers. They like these packages for their display benefits, protection from tampering, and ease of use.

Particularly popular in food aisles, high-visibility packaging also enables food retailers to keep different food components separate in the same package until the point of use. Those packages were well represented this month at IDDBA’s Dairy-Deli-Bake 2010 show, according to a posting from Roseanne Harper on total-access.supermarketnews.com.

They include both clamshells and blister packs, and high-visibility packaging has been increasing as a package format for several years. On the show floor, compartmentalized, heat-proof containers were popular for displaying food products well.
