As major retailers increase oversight programs, food manufacturers are under growing pressure to deliver verified package accuracy, consistent presentation, and stronger foreign-material prevention. Eagle Product Inspection is highlighting the performance of its Pack 320 PRO x-ray system, which supports these expectations by improving imaging consistency, detection capability, and documentation of package verification across high-throughput case-ready lines.
The Pack 320 PRO provides stable, high-clarity imaging across the small and mid-sized trays, MAP formats, pouches, and select metalized films used in certain case-ready applications. With 331 mm (13") of inspection coverage and line speeds up to 119 meters per minute (390 FPM), the system strengthens foreign-material detection, mass verification, and overall package integrity evaluation while maintaining throughput. Its imaging also identifies product trapped in seal areas, one of the most common contributors to poor package quality and retailer rejections, while performing reliably across increasing SKU variation and frequent changeovers.
Manufacturers continue to shift toward single-pass inspection solutions that verify every package before distribution and provide the documentation required during retailer reviews and internal audits. The Pack 320 PRO supports these needs through consistent detection performance and integrated software that captures inspection images, reject events, and production data that help demonstrate ongoing control of packaging-line variation.
“This system directly reflects the operational pressures manufacturers are facing today,” said Christy Draus, Marketing Manager at Eagle Product Inspection. “Even small inconsistencies can trigger product holds, rework, or heightened customer scrutiny. The Pack 320 PRO gives a dependable way to maintain predictable, data-backed quality control as expectations across the industry continue to rise.”
