Chris was such a kind and caring person who was taken from us too soon. He would bring a smile to your face whenever you saw him. He loved to dance, work in his shop, look at the stars and planets through his telescope and collect coins.

He was a loving father and grandfather who would give the best advice. He was also dedicated and passionate about his work even in the final days. What motivated Chris was making a difference in the world however he could through his time serving in the Navy, being part of the Masonic Lodge, always offering to help his friends and donating to charity. His generous and loving spirit will be missed by many.

When he was diagnosed, he did not give up. Getting the call from MD Anderson to come to Houston and start treatments was such great news. We knew he was in good hands and we appreciate all of the efforts from the medical staff at MD Anderson.

One last piece of advice he gave us was to cherish the physical body God loans you while you are here on earth enjoying His creation.

Chris asked that any donations in his honor be made to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s mission to end cancer. Breakthroughs at MD Anderson pave the way for new cancer therapies, making a difference in the outcomes of patients everywhere.

Your generous contribution (100%) will honor our loved one while making a tremendous difference in the lives of cancer patients by supporting innovative patient care, research, education and prevention programs.

Fallas Automation remembers Calabrese

It is with great sadness that Fallas Automation says goodbye to our Vice President of Sales, Chris Calabrese, who passed away this week due to pancreatic cancer. It can't be said better than 'Chris was Chris'. From your first conversation to your last, you got the true Chris. He was kind and fully passionate. He cared about each person he interacted with and he deeply cared about the relationship he created. He was approachable enough that you could ask him anything, but smart enough to be able to answer anything. He had a memory that could remember every single detail for every job he worked on. And he had a humor that just made you want to be around him.

Chris worked at Fallas Automation for 22 years. He originally started at Fallas as a project engineer and excelled at creating success for every customer he worked with. Dave Fallas saw that passion in him and moved Chris into sales. Because of his knowledge of Fallas products and his desire to build relationships, Chris took off in sales. He spent the last 18 years of his life creating lasting relationships not only just because of his ability to sell, but because of the person he was.

We mourn his loss here at Fallas, but we also celebrate his remarkable legacy he leaves behind. His spirit will live on in our work.

Chris was Chris; Kind, funny, passionate, wild, caring, and a true friend.
