Action Instruments, a div. of Eurotherm, now offers signal conditioners approved for input/output signals from Div. 1 hazardous area locations.

The WV408 DC voltage/current input isolating conditioner and the WV428 Thermocouple input isolating signal conditioner can both be installed directly in the Class 1, Div. 2 hazardous locations. Said to provide labor savings because explosion-proof enclosures and conduits are no longer needed. Additional features include Smart Power, high-accuracy and enhanced diagnostic LEDs, and compact DIN-rail mount housing.
