Nexen Group: Nexen Group: Ball screw alternative

Nexen Group has introduced the Precision Roller Pinion System (RPS), with advanced technology that converts rotary motion into precise, backlash-free linear motion, while operating at high speeds or over long distances.

Pw 11806 Nexen

Features a patented tooth design, combined with a pinion consisting of bearing-supported rollers that move smoothly along the face of each tooth. Said to offer better performance and longer life than traditional rack-and-pinion or ball-screw systems, the RPS can be configured to any distance required using segments of rack. RPS maintains accurate positioning at speeds as high as 36’/sec, and even at high speeds, the low-friction design does not create heat or wear on components. Ideal for machine tools, gantry systems, and precision servo-controlled fixtures.
