Using Beckhoff bus couplers or DIN rail-mounted controllers, the HD terminals are compatible with almost every major fieldbus. HD terminals
are available in both Beckhoff bus terminal and EtherCAT terminal
versions. The flexible HD bus terminals are available in different versions,
e.g. as 16-channel terminals for digital inputs or outputs, as
8-channel terminals for digital inputs or outputs with 2-wire
connection or as combination terminals with 8 digital inputs and 8
digital outputs. Despite higher channel density, wiring efforts are
simplified because of tool-less assembly.
