Alfa Laval Automation (Pleasant Prairie, WI) has unveiled a DCS/PLC system running under Windows NT(TM). The system consists of a number of workstations and control systems all communicating on a local Ethernet network.

The workstations are used not only for operator interface, but also software development, simulation, testing, documentation, data logging, and report generation. SattLine combines the logic control functions, the graphical operator interface/MMI functions and the SCADA functions into a single object oriented programming language.
