Aaron Thomas Co. triples CP operations near Chicago

Aaron Thomas Co. Inc. has opened a 420,000-sq-ft contract packaging, warehousing, and distribution center in Lockport, IL, southwest of Chicago. The company originally established a presence in the Chicago region in 2005.

The new facility in Lockport triples the size of the company’s old building in nearby Bolingbrook, IL.

“We simply outgrew our building in Bolingbrook, Thomas Bacon, president of Aaron Thomas Co., says of that facility, which opened in 2005. “Our new building will allow us to handle seasonal promotions of merchandising displays, as well as allowing us to expand into primary food packaging services like we offer in California.”

The Lockport facility will provide contract packaging services to consumer packaged goods companies in the upper Midwest.

Says Bacon, “Since we own the building we can control costs because we are not subject to periodic increases in rent. Plus, our new facility is a proactive response to the future growth of our clients in the region.”
