Frank Ruvalcaba, company director at Let’s Mongo, says Tomandote was developed to introduce a ready-to-drink tea, based on traditional Hispanic formulas, to the beverage marketplace. After the company discovered a range of tea flavors that tested well with consumers, the next step was finding the right bottle. Let’s Mongo selected Amcor’s PowerFlex bottle for its teas, which are hot-filled. The bottle features a patented, panel-less design with a large, smooth label panel. The Tomandote brand complements the bottle’s smooth lines with a clean label design. Color-coded graphics support the initial three-flavor launch—Lemongrass (Te de Limon), Mint (Hierbabuena), and Cinnamon (Canela).
Initial product launch is occurring in convenience stores, grocery stores, and service stations in California, Washington state, and Texas.
