Students recycle for playground equipment

In a new contest sponsored by Colgate, ShopRite, and TerraCycle, east coast schools compete for playground equipment by recycling Colgate packaging.

Pw 60911 Colgate Oral Care Accepted Waste Small

Oral care brand Colgate and Northeast grocery store ShopRite have partnered with TerraCycle for the Recycled Playground Challenge.

From late March through June 30, 2014, schools in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, and Maryland can compete to win a brand new playground by recycling toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, and floss containers through the Oral Care Brigade program.

This recycling program from Colgate and TerraCycle is open to anyone, and participation is free. Schools earn one Playground Credit for each shipment of waste sent during the contest window. They can earn more points by encouraging the community to vote online.
