Environmental bills aplenty in Massachusetts

For example, one bill requires all packaging sold in Massachusetts to contain a recycled content label that includes the total annual weighted average percentage of recycled content and post-consumer recycled content contained in the package. This label must be of conspicuous size and in a conspicuous place on the package label. So far, no outright packaging bans have been introduced, although last year saw a bill that banned the use of packaging that is not recyclable as of January 1, 2000.
