Fast, Smart, Compact Case Packer Handles Warped Corrugated

I'm Rick Gessler, Delkor's VP of Engineering, and we are excited to introduce our new EVO series case packer here at Pack Expo. At Delkor, we've always pushed the boundaries of what's possible with packaging technology, and EVO is no exception. It's smarter, faster, and smaller than anything we've built before. Evo is packed with technology and right here on the case forming end of the system, we have multiple patents surrounding our ability to flatten warped corrugated and also apply over a hundred pounds of compression strength to each glue joint during the forming process.

This machine changeover is incredibly rapid, going from a standard brown box shipper to a shelf ready Delkor Cabrio case in just a couple of minutes. The simple red light green light smart lock changeover system is another great feature that makes every changeover foolproof and it ends with a vertical startup upon completion.

Here in the vision based robotic loading section we have six axis cartesian robots tracking and placing each one of the products perfectly straight into the finished case. Each one of these simultaneously picks two products at once, which enables the machine to cycle at a slower rate while still achieving incredibly high run rates.

With line tracking speeds up to 240 feet a minute, Evo eliminates the diminishing returns associated with common conventional robotics and enables you to stack multiple cells to achieve incredibly high speeds. The Evo machine is also monoblock ready, which means we can join each frame module directly together for an ultra compact footprint.

Here we have a machine that can pack 120 products a minute that fits into a space just 30 feet long, including case forming and sealing. Evo is also available as a standalone unit so that you can couple it [00:02:00] with existing case erectors or sealers in your existing plant layout. The Evo system is available in a variety of finishes, from painted carbon steel frames, to stainless steel tube frames, to non tubular, open channel stainless steel frames for the most demanding of plant environments.

That non tubular option also enables you to choose for a full IP69K machine setup, making it a great match for the meat and poultry industry and other demanding environments. Delkor's new SmartLock technology is rolled right into our Evo case packer. SmartLock enables you to have a quick and efficient changeover by showing any point that needs adjustment with a red flashing light.

You simply move to the correct position, and it auto locks when it hits the correct location. This lets you know that you've completed that changeover point, but the machine also knows those changeover points are complete, and you can have a perfect vertical startup upon completion.
