The FFS 2500 works quickly and accurately while still producing a tightly sealed package every time – ensuring bags can withstand long storage times and are durable during transport. The compact design makes the FFS 2500 ideal for tight spaces and the system is available in three configurations for enhanced mobility. When built on air pads, just two operators are required to move the system, while both rail and wheel configurations are remote controlled, requiring just one operator to move.

The FFS 2500 is uniquely constructed for smooth operation at a rate of up to 41 bags per minute. The FFS 2500 is designed with two bag-handling devices; empty and full bag transport. The initial empty bag transport is designed to bring empty bags to the filling spout. Once filled, the full bag transport takes the filled bag through the sealing process. Unlike similar units that use just one bag handling device, the FFS 2500 runs perfectly smooth, handles bags more efficiently, and offers the fastest production rate on the market.

Innovative Haver technology included in the FFS 2500 provides production accuracy, even in the toughest circumstances. The MEC electronic weighing system can be programmed with up to 250 product specifications, including bag size and weight. The system offers precise control from feed-in to finished product – filling a bag with only the specified product amount.

Fully automated, the FFS 2500 is designed for easy one-person operation. The operator simply needs to call up the product ID number within the MEC electronic weighing system, press start and oversee the process. The system automatically adjusts to the specified product’s information. Once adjusted, the film is pulled into the FFS machine where the bag is formed. The bag is then carefully handled by the empty bag transport device, filled to the programmed weight and tightly sealed.

To ensure safety and easy maintenance for the operator and plant crew, the entire filling process is enclosed within the compact machine. It is constructed with multiple large panel access doors that lock when the machine is in use. As an added safety precaution, the machine will not start when doors are open. Panel doors contain large windows so the operator can easily spot any issues during operation. For complete and easy access, doors can be opened 180 degrees during routine maintenance. Additionally, thanks to its compact design, the FFS 2500 integrates easily into a current operation, even in tight or compact spaces.

The FFS 2500 can be equipped with either a dual or triple reel changer, nearly eliminating production delays. Once a film reel is empty, the reel changer automatically switches to the full film reel, significantly reducing interruption to operation and eliminating downtime.
