The show is produced by the Packaging Assn. Of Canada (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). More than 300ꯠ sq’ of space will be used in one contiguous space spanning five exhibit halls. Some 15ꯠ visitors are expected, and 700 exhibitors will be on hand to show their products and services.

Rebranded as the PACex International Packaging & Food Process Exhibition, the new name reflects the recently established partnership between PACex and Europe’s Groupe Exposium, one of the world’s top trade show producers.

“It has been a strategic objective of the PAC to strengthen our trade show’s success through an international partner,” said PAC president Alan M. Robinson in announcing the PACex/Exposium partnership last year. “Exposium brings to our members exposure to the global marketplace.”

As PACex opens its doors for the 31st time, the show moves one step back from packaging on the production chain to include food processing technologies and services in the all-new Foodtech Marketplace. This new area expands the range of solutions for food and beverage professionals.

Also part of this packaging show for the first time is the Canadian Materials Handling & Logistics Show, which was acquired March 6 by PACex International. Industry buyers will be able to move easily between both shows by registering for either one. CMHL will showcase forklifts, conveyors, racking and storage tools, inventory controls, warehouse supplies, transportation technologies, and a variety of other innovations.

To complement the activity on the show floor and make PACex International an even more compelling event for industry professionals, Food in Canada and Canadian Packaging magazines are spearheading the PACex breakfast speakers program. Each morning, before the show floor opens for business, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in food processing and packaging from industry experts.
