Filler utilizes an auger prefeed assembly with variable-speed screw and agitator. The prefeed assembly meters product at variable rates to a preweigh hopper with bottom transfer screw. As the charge is accumulated, the transfer auger moves the product into the bag. The bag is placed on the filling spout and is secured and sealed to the spout via an inflatable air bladder. Dust and displaced air are vented back through the weigh hopper to a system of air relief ducts. Machine was designed to fill valve type bags with capacities from 15 lb to 110 lb.
