aAnne Armstrong has joined Macatawa Holdings LLC–Praxis (www.praxispackaging.com), Grand Rapids, MI, as director of quality assurance. Armstrong has 27 years of experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and packaging industries.

The company also has promoted Tim Butcher from warehouse manager to plant manager. Butcher joined Praxis in 2006 and has 19 years of management and manufacturing experience.

New toilet bowl cleaner pods from Gove Co. use 38% less PVA and are sold in a certified home-compostable pouch, replacing the brand’s earlier metal tins.

The adhesive volume is now electronically controlled with the new equipment using 24V signals to activate the electric valves, instead of adjusting the volume using nozzles and pneumatic pressure.
