Westvaco Corp. (New York, NY) has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Mebane Packaging Group, Inc. (Mebane, NC). —TricorBraun (St.

Louis, MO) has acquired Packaging Plus (Valencia, CA).—DuPont Holographics (Wilmington, DE), a unit within the Photopolymer & Electronic Materials business group, has acquired Krystal Holographics Intl. Inc. (New York, NY).—Hoover Materials Handling Group, Inc. (Alpharetta, GA) has acquired Plymouth Mfg. (Plymouth, NE). —Brady Corp. (Milwaukee, WI) has a tentative agreement to purchase Imtec Inc. (Bellows Falls, VT). The deal, expected to close in April, would result in Imtec joining Brady’s identification solutions and specialty tapes group. Also, Imtec and Advance Bar Code Technology Inc. (Atlanta, GA), as part of their Strategic Partnership Alliance, have agreed to initiate joint sales and marketing efforts working with ABC MultiLing™ multilingual software.—The Holographic Div. of CFC Intl. Inc. (Chicago Heights, IL) will exercise its option to purchase the worldwide rights to the holographic technology of Applied Holographics PLC (London, England) during the first quarter of this year.—James Alexander Corp. (Blairstown, NJ) has acquired the assets of Newton Industries (Newton, NJ).—Eastman Chemical Co. (Kingsport, TN) and Isotag Technology, Inc. (Houston, TX) have entered into an agreement for Isotag to acquire Eastman’s ClirCode™ invisible marking technologies, assets and business in exchange for Eastman acquiring an equity position in Isotag.—Delta Plastics Corp. (Hot Springs, AR) and Essex Plastics, Inc. (Pompano Beach, FL) have formed FlexSol Holding Corp. (Pompano Beach, FL), a privately held holding co. that will provide capital for growth.—Ormec (Rochester, NY) and DVT Corp. (Norcross, GA) have formed a strategic marketing relationship that enhances each co.’s ability to provide effective solutions for vision-guided motion applications. —Pinnacle Automation, Inc. (St. Louis, MO) and The Power Group (St. Charles, IL) have formed an alliance to co-develop and market supply-chain and e-commerce solutions for food and other consumer products cos.
