Amada achieves multifunctional metalforming

At the recent Euroblech show, Amada spokesman Katsuhide Ito describes how their global research & development team utilized B&R’s Automation Studio, CNC and safety control over the POWERLINK network to develop its LASBEND laser cutting and bending system -- in just two years’ time. Importantly, an R&D team located not only in Japan, but in Austria, Italy and India, collaborated to achieve the sophisticated metalforming functionalities using Automation Studio.
