Bimba announces acquisition of Intek Products

The acquisition will enhance Bimba’s electric actuator offerings in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric motion options.

Bimba, an industry-leading innovator of actuation technology, announces the acquisition of Intek Products of Warrendale, PA. Founded in 1999, Intek develops mechanical automation products and solutions for both single-axis and multi-axis coordinated electric motion. Intek’s products are extensively used for linear positioning, robotic applications, pick-and-place mechanisms, and gantry systems.

“This acquisition will significantly enhance Bimba’s electric actuator offering and extend our commitment to offer our customers a choice of complete pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric motion options,” says Pat Ormsby, President of Bimba.
