The President of CSS International announced that the company will be celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2020. Located in Philadelphia, the company was established one month after the end of World War II.
Herbert V. Coulston, Fred G. Shutz and Harry F. Speth purchased a 10,000 square foot manufacturing plant to start a tool and die business. The company had moved twice since and currently occupies a 28,000 square foot headquarters building in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.
During the late ‘70s, the company moved into precision timing screws and manufacturing. “Today our timing screws, feed systems, change parts, bottom code/inspection diverters, lane combiners/diverters, product orienters, side grip belt units, and vacuum reject systems are used by packaging companies around the world,” says Mr. Coulston.
The company claims strong engineering capabilities for OEM applications and a debt-free structure with positive supplier relationships to ensure timely operation for components manufactured for its customers.
With 75 years of manufacturing experience, CSS International says it looks forward to providing conveyor system solutions in the future for the global packaging market.
