ERP-to-packaging-line interface is a growing trend

Survey respondents indicated that their packaging lines are integrated with their ERP systems.

In a recent survey of Packaging World readers and members of OMAC (Organization for Machine Automation and Control), 27.8% of end-user respondents indicated that their packaging lines are integrated with their ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. In a similar survey conducted in 2006, only 7% of end-user respondents claimed to have this kind of connectivity. Look for coverage of the complete survey in the September issue of Packaging World.
