Procter & Gamble Co. of Cincinnati announced it has licensed its proprietary reliability engineering analysis and optimization tools to Zarpac, Inc. of Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Under the agreement, Zarpac has exclusive rights to incorporate the P&G tools into manufacturing data collection and analysis software, which will provide the ability to achieve rapid improvement in equipment performance.
This agreement allows P&G’s optimization approaches, developed in conjunction with Los Alamos National Labs, to be seamlessly integrated with Zarpac data collection and analysis software products. The P&G tool set integrates an analysis approach that changes the way equipment systems are designed, started up, and optimized on an ongoing basis. Embedding these routines in a user-friendly data collection and analysis software package can provide real-time guidance on optimal equipment speeds, improvement opportunities, and performance trend analysis.
