Nicaragua's Coquimba Gourmet Banana Plantation has hired Yates & Associates to market their gourmet bananas in the US. Co-owner of the company says they hired the firm to "develop packaging, logos, brand image, and a sustainable marketing strategy" for the only gourmet banana known to exist. The banana's unique firmness and taste, and the unusual harvesting methods help qualify the fruit as gourmet.
