Will French say "non" to drinking wine with a straw?

Young French wine drinkers already accept wine in plastic bottles, cartons, and cans.

Wine packaged in cartons with straws is an "amusing" way to arrive at a party, according to a 21-year-old Parisian. The special straw is said to "recreate the sensation of tasting wine from a glass." It's not as far-fetched as traditionalists might think—alternative wine packaging including bag-in box and aluminum designer bottles are selling extremely well, and meet the alternative wine packaging desires of French youth.
