Clemson hosts packaging seminars

Clemson University’s Department of Packaging Science will host two extension seminars for packaging professionals at its Clemson, SC, campus.

"Packaging Fundamentals," May 6 - 8, will address the future of packaging and trends, package functions, materials, forms, packaging development and testing, a packaging testing laboratory exercise, packaging and the environment, and laws and regulations. Dr. Robert F. Testin and Dr. W. Scott Whiteside will serve as instructors. It runs 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., ending at noon on May 8. The seminar cost is $850.

"Managing Packaging Development" runs May 8 - 9, with Dr. Jorge Marcondes serving as instructor. The program begins at 1 p.m. May 8, then runs 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. the following day. This seminar will cover concurrent development of packaging and product, phases of packaging development, and using standardized and integrated packaging development processes.
