REPORTING FROM PACK EXPO: When Pepperidge Farm needed to seal its new goldfish-shaped package, it looked to Halpak Plastics to supply a 1.5-mil PVC band.

On display at the Halpak (Deer Park, NY) booth was the six-color gravure printed label, which provides graphics and seals the Goldfish container.

The Goldfish crackers are bagged and then packaged inside a fish-shaped polystyrene container that Pepperidge Farm promotes as a collectable container, and which can be used as a serving tray. According to Halpak, the ultimate goal for Pepperidge Farms is to add labels with seasonal designs that will be used throughout the year.
