Tougher warnings on diabetic drugs

Consumer group Public Citizen called on the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) to ban the diabetes drug Rezulin and to require stronger warning labels on Avandia and Actos, two similar diabetic drugs.

According to the group, the warnings should state that liver toxicity, heart failure and significant weight gain are among the risks.
