FDA reviews contraceptive device after health complaints

The FDA is looking into the contraceptive device, Essure, after a number of health complaints.

Some of those complaints include hronic fatigue, migraines, joint pain, digestive issues, back pain, heavy periods full of clots, difficulty concentrating, abdominal pain, hair loss and tooth deterioration, according to NPR

Thousands of women say they've been harmed by the permanent contraceptive Essure. But it's unclear if the problems were caused by the device. The Food and Drug Administration is taking a closer look.
