Machinery's role in RRP

H.P. Hood, a leading dairy company based in Lynnfield, MA, recently installed two new pieces of equipment from Delkor that they plan to use for RRP in cultured products like cottage cheese and yogurt. The new Model 500 Spot-Pak loader linked to a Retail Ready tray former gives Hood some useful options. Option A is to run a Delkor Spot-Pak package, which consists of cups or tubs placed on flat corrugated pads followed by film encapsulation. Or they can choose Option B, where the same Spot-Loader can accept trays from the Delkor Retail Ready tray former. Change-over is automatic and requires only one or two minutes to switch from pads to Retail Ready trays.
