To help boost awareness and commitment to the Dr Pepper brand, images of Spider-Man and his new nemesis Doc Ock will be graphically represented on Dr Pepper and Diet Dr Pepper cans across the country. These packaging efforts are part of Dr Pepper’s ongoing strategy to leverage the visibility of high-profile films through product placement and promotions. “We had tremendous success with our marketing sponsorship of the first Spider-Man movie, so it just made sense for us to be a part of the excitement surrounding the much-anticipated sequel,” says Kendall Yorn, vp of packaging at Dr Pepper. “We’re delivering a graphically-appealing aluminum can that will raise awareness of the film and the Dr Pepper brand.”
