Late last year, Amazon launched "Frustration-Free Packaging" to help
customers (and their kids) get to their purchases as soon after they
arrive at doorsteps as possible. (Almost) gone are the clam shells and
plastic twist ties that toys have been packaged in for the last (what
seems like) decades. Many square inches of paper material has also been
eliminated from packaging for products such as the Fisher-Price
Adventure Pirate Ship. Parents who purchase electronics for themselves
from Amazon will also benefit from the initiative. In fact, though he
says it will take many years founder and CEO of Amazon says, "our
vision is to offer our entire catalog of products in Frustration-Free
Packaging."
