CanSource, a TricorBraun Company and a leading provider of aluminum beverage packaging to the industry, has announced the availability of a 19.2-ounce digitally printed can format and the expansion of its digital print capabilities to its Charlotte, N.C. facility. Together, these enhancements can provide beverage brands greater access to digitally printed cans with premium design options, low minimum order quantities, shorter lead times and increased production capacity.

CanSource now offers a broader range of digitally printed cans, including 7.5-ounce, 12-ounce standard, 12-ounce sleek, 16-ounce and now 19.2-ounce, allowing beverage brands to source their full range of digital print can sizes from a single supplier. The addition of a new printer in Charlotte expands production capacity to meet growing demand while strengthening CanSource's ability to support existing and future customers launching new products or expanding existing lineups.

Unlike many suppliers that offer narrow packaging and decoration formats, CanSource provides brite, shrink-sleeved, digitally printed and offset-printed cans. This allows brands to launch with digitally printed short runs, test new products or seasonal offerings, and transition to higher-volume offset production as demand grows or packaging requirements evolve. All with one supply partner.

“Digital printing is transforming how beverage brands bring their products to market,” says John Saalwachter, Vice President of Sales, CanSource, a TricorBraun Company. “By adding the 19.2-ounce format and expanding our digital print capabilities in Charlotte, we're giving customers greater flexibility to source the can sizes and decoration options they need from a single trusted partner. As brands evolve, their packaging needs change, and CanSource is uniquely positioned to support every stage of that journey.”

Digital printing can provide higher-definition graphics, with greater detail and flexibility, including expanded color range, smoother fades, and the ability to combine matte and gloss finishes on a single can. These capabilities are ideal for brands seeking premium visual impact to stand out in a competitive market.

CanSource provides in-house digital print capabilities in Denver, Milwaukee, and Charlotte. Through its online platform, beverage brands can request quotes, order production quantities, and purchase samples featuring their own artwork, streamlining the process from concept to production.
