Pentair’s Warwick, R.I. manufacturing facility has received American Welding Society welding certification capability. This location manufactures an extensive portfolio of Schroff branded products such as front panels and handles, subracks, cases, cabinets, and pre-assembled chassis for embedded computing systems. This designation provides customers with the confidence that they are receiving quality-welded product from certified AWS welders and welding inspectors.
“Pentair’s Schroff brand cabinet and system solutions are often used in extreme shock and vibration applications where only the highest level of product quality is acceptable,” says Brendan Quinn, Global Business Development manager for Schroff branded products. “This certification provides assurance to our customers that they are receiving a quality product that meets the stringent standards for track side and onboard rail applications. Having multiple welders and welding inspectors certified by AWS allows Pentair to better serve our customers in the railway and defense industries.”
AWS offers a number of certification programs that recognize and document expertise and knowledge in specific welding-related disciplines including, inspectors, supervisors, educators, radiographic interpreters, welding engineers, and fabricators. AWS is the source for qualification and certification of welding personnel and has developed approximately 200codes, specifications, recommended practices, and guides that are approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
This certification applies specifically to Pentair’s Schroff brand at the Warwick, R.I. facility.
