FV Recycling has named Pete Edwards chief financial officer as the company expands its recycling capabilities and geographic reach. Edwards brings more than 20 years of financial management experience, most recently as chief financial officer of manufacturing company Axel, and will lead FV’s accounting department.
“As FV grows, we need a financial function that helps our teams understand performance, plan effectively and make informed decisions about where to invest,” said FV Recycling President Gene Smith. “Pete’s experience building accounting operations and aligning financial management with business strategy will help us make those decisions with confidence.”
The appointment comes as FV builds on its combination with Mid America Paper Recycling, bringing together recovered-material market expertise, mill relationships, transportation, equipment and operational support for commercial and industrial customers.
“I was impressed by the leadership team’s vision for FV and saw a clear opportunity to contribute my experience,” Edwards said. “My priority is to build on the accounting team’s strengths and develop a planning function that works closely with leaders throughout the company.”
Edwards’ appointment reflects FV’s continued investment in the people and leadership needed to grow responsibly and keep serving its customers well.
“Building a strong department means developing people who understand how their work contributes to the company’s direction,” he added. “I want our team to take ownership, work effectively with colleagues across the business and grow alongside FV.”
