Servo motor has field-replaceable encoders

The 1FK7 servo motor from Siemens is developed with field-replaceable encoders that make for quick and easy on-site service with no special tools or recalibration required. Modular design permits the swapping of incremental encoder with an absolute encoder right in the field, without sending the unit back to the factory. Also shown is Sinamics S120M that integrates motor and drive right in the same unit, ideal for vertical form/fill/seal machines, flow wrappers, rotary capping machines, filling machines, and other packaging equipment.
